FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Common questions

Is this a retirement calculator?

It can help you think about retirement or a change in work, but it does not choose a retirement date or predict success. It brings money, health, time, and what work adds into one comparison.

Does it tell me to stop working?

No. Work can provide income, routine, relationships, identity, and purpose. The facts may support continuing, preparing for a change, changing part of your work, or leaving the current arrangement.

What is the Vital Crossover?

Once essential spending is covered, there may be a period when using healthy time deserves as much attention as earning more money. That is the Vital Crossover.

Where should I start?

Choose Reflect to describe your choices and a next step without figures. Choose Compare to bring money, work, health, and timing together. Choose Prepare to gather a question and records for a qualified professional.

What is the difference between the workbook and the tool?

The workbook helps you gather the facts. The Vital Crossover Decision Tool calculates the amounts and records your reasons and the next step you choose. The book explains the reasoning behind both.

Are my answers saved?

No. Answers remain only in the current tab and clear when you refresh, close, or leave. The site has no assessment account or database.

What happens if I print or save a PDF?

The site does not create or store the file. A printout or PDF created through your browser remains under your control.

What does the result mean?

It is your comparison and decision record. Percentages describe the assumptions; they do not choose for you. An annual financial margin does not establish that money will last through retirement.

Does age or life expectancy change the result?

No. The tool does not use your age, sex, or life expectancy to calculate a recommendation. Any time range for an activity needs its own evidence, and the financial figures must come from your records or a qualified professional.

Is this a validated decision formula?

No. The worksheets are an author-developed way to organize the facts and your reasons. The tool does not turn coverage, timing or a completed savings target into a recommendation.

Who should review a real decision?

Seek qualified financial and tax professionals for financial or tax decisions, qualified legal counsel when legal consequences matter, and a licensed medical professional for health decisions. Include the people whose security, care, work, and shared time are affected.
